Hope and trust our gracious Lord has been good for the past days and the situation is getting better there.
Here they have started relaxing a little by opening small shops and the timing has been changed to 6am to 5 pm. But only now the situation is becoming bad in India. The virus is spreading fast, as no social distancing is maintained.

Today we had been to a nearby place and 30 poor pastors doing village ministries had come. They are totally in struggle because of this lockdown as no tithes but they have to pay their house rent, electricity etc. because they usually get offering from their believers in the form of rice or vegetables and very few give them tithes. But last month nothing was possible but Lord had led them in spite of their worst difficulties.
These pastors had asked us instead of grocery items it would be good if they are provided as cash of 2500/- each to overcome their difficulties.
So today they all had come to a local church and they belong to pastors care cell.
We provided them each Rs2500/- they were very happy and blessed and they all conveyed their gratitude of thanks to Good News Friend Ministries.

This weekend and next week we will distribute grocery parcels in three other villages which is quite far from our place.
Once we distribute we would send you all the details.
Please keep us in prayer as only now corona has started spreading fast in Tamilnadu.

Greetings in the sweet Name of Jesus Christ.

Today morning we went to nearby small church where we distributed the grocery parcel to 9 poor families and 1 to the local church pastor Peter.
Indeed people had no words except praised the name of the Lord for the timely help extended to them.

Later today 20 grocery parcels were distributed in a village called Rediarpuram. In the video I introduce church pastor Mahibalan whom we asked to help us in distributing these 20 parcels because there was tight police curfew and outsiders other than those belonging to that village are not allowed to go inside the village. He had distributed all the 20 parcels and the photos are attached.

Once again we thank you for the burdened heart that you and the sponsors of Good News Friends Ministries had for the poor needy people of south India.
Every day many more people in the surrounding villages come and ask the local pastor for help because a lots more people are suffering without food and labor. Government provides 15kgs rice for very poor families per month but just that is not sufficient for a family of even 3 for the entire month.
Please do pray that the Lord should show His mercy to our people and many more families to be helped out so that they could at least one proper meal every day.

Brother and sister regarding helping the poor 30 pastors we will be able to give them after the lockdown because only then we could ask them to come to the church share the word of God, give them the gift (money) and provide them good meal.

I myself and Victoria have permission to go out on Tuesday and Friday from 9am to 1pm so I think on those days we will be able to help the poor people and in places of strict curfew I will make a video introducing the local pastor so that he could distribute it.

Greetings to you in Jesus name.

Our Lord and Saviour has been so faithful to us all in safe guarding us till this day from the deadly things sorrounding us.

Our government has extended the lockdown till May 3rd.
Anyway we thought we would distribute the groceries to the nearby three villages where police restriction was not very much. Yesterday we visited two churches and asked the poor families to come to the church as we were not permitted to go to each house personally and give them. We had given to 49 families yesterday and today to 21 families.
So the 1st batch of 70 parcels of groceries were given.
Many of the ladies were so happy on opening the parcel and they contacted  us through phone and said we have never seen or got so many food groceries till this date because they are all daily wages workers and they added this whole month we would be rest assured we will have food in our houses and they added please give our thanks and gratitude to the sponsors for the love they have shown towards us by helping us to eat everyday.

Yes brother & sister we were able to see the joy in their eyes when they recieved the parcel. Praise God.
Regarding the next 70 parcel of groceries we may give after 20th April or May 3rd because in those villages there is police curfew at present and support of rs.2000/- to 30 Pastor’s will be given after lockdown is over.

I will send all the photos and we pray and hope God will open new financial doors so that many more poor families can be helped out in this toughest lockdown situation so that they would have meal everyday.
